Perseus’ silhouette dominates the scene: a sharp profile and downward gaze create a visual force that leads the eye toward Medusa’s head, where deep shadows and the natural light of the paper evoke the luminous tension of Renaissance bronze sculpture.

The Hero’s Ecosystem

Up close, Perseus’ body dissolves and reveals its true nature. His flesh becomes an ecosystem of archaic symbols, while Medusa’s hair transforms into a forest of oneiric signs—hidden eyes, hourglasses, and imaginary figures emerge from the ink.
